MAY 16, 17 & 18, 2008
Fill up your Jeep® with family and friends and join over 300 other Jeepers for Jeep® Beach 2008! It's all waiting here for you when Jeepers from all overl gather on the hard packed sands of Daytona Beach. As host of Jeep® Beach, the Mid Florida Jeep® Club has developed a fun filled weekend geared for all Jeep® owners from the pavement lover to the biggest pig-pin at heart. Don't miss the opening social, trail ride, Show-n-Shine, picnic, vendor fair,beach parade, and beach party.
Over 100 Jeep® owners have volunteered for nearly a year to help make Jeep® Beach 2008 bigger and better than ever. Below is the Jeep® Beach activities schedule. Please make copies as necessary and help us spread the word. The 2008 Jeep® Beach beneficiary charity is Russell Home for Atypical Children.
ACTIVITIES SCHEDULE
Friday - May 16th
Registration and Opening Social:
6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Red Tails Grill and Pub on Beach Street in downtown Daytona Beach. Get your Jeep® Beach schedule, event wrist band and activity tickets. Check out the 2008 Jeep® Beach merchandise and enjoy the opening social, with great drink and menu specials - just for Jeepers!
Saturday - May 17th
Registration:
8:00 AM to 9:00 AM at the City Island Pavilion in downtown Daytona Beach or Trail Ride location.
Trail Ride:
8:00 AM to Noon - (Location TBD). With over 100 Jeeps® participating in last years ride, we made this years ride suitable for every comfort level from mild to wild! Don't sweat the mud because we will have a hosing station to clean off for your Jeep® and you if necessary, at the Show-n-Shine area.
Show-n-Shine, Picnic and Vendor Fair:
9:00 AM to 2:00 PM at the City Island Pavilion in downtown Daytona Beach. Bring your Jeep® and your appetite for the Jeep® Beach Show-n-Shine and picnic! Look for the registration tent near the entrance to participate in the competition. Beverages are available all day for a donation to benefit the Russell Home with a catered picnic lunch from 12:30 PM to 1:30 PM.
Smile for the camera. The Jeep® Beach group photo will be at 1:30 PM.
Three raffles will be on sale:a 50/50 Raffle, a Progressive Raffle with prizes awarded every 15 minutes and our very own Choice Raffle for the really big Jeep® stuff. The 50/50 winners and Choice Raffle winners along with the Show-n-Shine winners will be announced starting at 2:00 PM.
The Jeep® Beach vendor fair will be set-up next to the picnic area.
Treasure Hunt:
Bring your GPS because throughout the weekend there will be special gifts for those with "a sense of direction" and a GPS. Details when you check in.
Sunday - May 18th
Jeep® Beach Parade:
Ever see 100 Jeeps® cruising down the beach at once? Join us in turning heads on the beach, and dont forget the cameras. Parade participants meet at City Island in downtown Daytona Beach (same location as the Show-n-Shine) by 9:00 AM sharp for the annual Jeep® Parade on the beach. The pararde enters the beach at the Silver Beach approach and continue south to the Surfside Hotel.
Jeep® Beach Closing Party:
10:00 AM to 2:00 PM at the Surfside Hotel located at 3209 South Atlantic Avenue in Daytona Beach Shores.
