A donation of more than $600,000 to the Halifax Health Foundation from Jeep Beach, Inc., will fund an enhancement of the healing environment and the development of crucial mental health counseling programming at Halifax Health Behavioral Services, the foundation announced this week.

The donation will support completion of a lobby renovation project that will make a significant impact on young patients, families and staff alike, said Joe Petrock, executive director of Halifax Health Foundation.

The 2023 edition of Jeep Beach unfolded in April on the shores of Daytona Beach. A $600,000 donation from Jeep Beach, Inc., will fund a lobby renovation and crucial mental health programming at Halifax Health Behavioral Services, the Halifax Health Foundation has announced.

As part of the renovation, a Jeep Beach mural will be incorporated into the lobby’s design, created to symbolize the strength, resilience and sense of adventure exemplified by those in the facility’s mental health programs, according to the announcement.

“This generous gift will not only renovate our lobby but also provide a space where children and adolescents seeking behavioral health services can find solace, inspiration, and hope,” Petrock stated in a news release. “This collaboration will undoubtedly make a lasting difference in our community.”

A $600,000 donation from Jeep Beach, Inc., will support the completion of a lobby renovation project and development of mental health counseling programming at Halifax Health Behavioral Services, the foundation announced this week.

In addition to the lobby renovation, the Jeep Beach donation also will fund the introduction of essential mental health counseling programming to ensure that area children and adolescents have access to the comprehensive support needed to achieve their wellness goals, the announcement stated.

The Jeep Beach donation will be augmented by support from NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series driver Daniel Dye and his father, Daytona Beach auto dealer Randy Dye, who have committed proceeds from their annual golf event each year to go to the project, the foundation announced.

Jeep Beach dedicated to ‘making a positive impact’

Incorporated as a nonprofit 501(c)(3) charity in 2017, Jeep Beach Inc. has donated over $3.8 million to area charities over the past decade through the event’s annual weeklong fund-raising efforts. Recipients include the Boys & Girls Clubs of Volusia & Flagler Counties; the NASCAR Foundation; the Childhood Cancer Foundation, as well as more than 70 additional nonprofit groups.

This year’s Jeep Beach event in April attracted more than 230,000 attendees and 30,000-plus Jeep SUVs to Daytona Beach and throughout Volusia County. The 2024 Jeep Beach event is slated for April 19-28.

“Jeep Beach is dedicated not only to celebrating the Jeep community but also to making a positive impact on the lives of those around us,” said Charlene Greer, the event’s executive director and chairwoman. “We are proud to support Halifax Health Foundation in their mission to improve mental health services. The Jeep Beach mural will serve as a symbol of unity and strength, reminding everyone that they are not alone in their journey.”

2nd Annual Outriggers Tiki Bar & Grille Silent Auction for our Heroes Nearly Doubles Donation from 2022

2nd Annual Outriggers Tiki Bar & Grille
Silent Auction for our Heroes Nearly Doubles Donation from 2022

VOLUSIA COUNTY, FL (Wednesday, October 4, 2023) – In partnership with The Stephen Siller Tunnel to Towers Foundation, an organization named after a New York City firefighter killed on September 11, 2001, Outriggers Community Foundation is honored to announce their recent donation of $71,660 was delivered to local heroes. The 2nd Annual Outriggers Tiki Bar & Grill Benefit and Silent Auction for the heroes took place on Sunday, September 10, 2023, in New Smyrna Beach with hundreds in support.

It was an emotional day filled with memories and acknowledgement of our heroes from 9/11 and the families that Tunnel to Towers supports. Among the honorable guests were Sadia Baxter whose husband and father of three young girls was killed in the line of duty. Ms. Baxter was connected almost immediately by Tunnel to Towers who let her know that her mortgage was being paid off by the organization. Gold Star Recipient Jillian Hinton was also in attendance and was awarded a mortgage-free home to help support her and their children after she lost her husband while he was on active duty.

The team at Outriggers raised funds through local support and sponsorship weeks before the auction and nearly doubled the funds donated last year of $37,250 making the total donation of $108,910 in a little over a year.

“We are honored to partner with Tunnel to Towers Foundation and are proud of its accomplishments including committing more than $250 million in support of our nation’s greatest heroes and their families. Furthermore, for the past several years the Foundation’s program service percentage on average was 94% – 94 cents out of every dollar goes directly to their programs and services,” proclaimed Mike Manuel, owner of Outriggers.

Proceeds will benefit the Tunnel to Towers Foundation who support and provide mortgage-free homes to our nation’s catastrophically injured veterans and first responders, and Gold Star and fallen first responder families with young children.
